What Do Atonement and Noah’s Ark Have in Common?
TINK #tink (Things I Never Knew)
Recently, during a time of verse mapping, I made the amazing discovery that the word in scripture for the Atonement is the same word that is used for the substance that covers Noah’s Ark and made it watertight. The connections and rabbit trails grew from that point until I was able to map the Covering of the Ark of the covenant to Noah’s Ark and the Basket that baby Moses was put into. I connected the Ark with the Ark in that both were a box or a coffin. The end result being that we were all on our way to death and were saved by a covering. Noah’s box/coffin saved the people because of it’s covering. The Israelites were saved once a year by the blood covering the Mercy Seat. The Messiah in the New Testament became our Atonement or our Covering and we were saved from the curse of death once again. I am certain I only scratched the surface of the meaning that YHVH wove into His Word. I encourage you to grab pen and paper and follow along with the video.
